The game of bingo is based on some simple rules. Bingo is similar to lottery and a caller picks numbers at random from a lottery drum, which generally contains from 75 to 90 balls. The number picked is called and bingo players have to mark it, if they have it, on their bingo on line cards. Player can buy one or more cards before the game starts.

In al bingo games there is a caller and/or a board indicating the numbers that are picked randomly and also the game pattern or model. Paying attention to the bingo model is really important since it determines the pattern the player has to complete in order to win. Simple bingo patterns consist on horizontal, vertical or diagonal straight lines while in coverall bingo the player has to cover the whole bingo card to win.

Numbers are called rapidly and players need to play attention not to miss any of them. The game ends when one or more bingo players shout ‘bingo’ when they complete their bingo card or any of the patterns previously mentioned. If there is more than one winner, the prize is divided in equal parts.
