In spite of the fact that the game started at 6 o’clock in the afternoon, there were many people that had been waiting in line since the first hours of noon. The current record had been accomplished in the United States last year by joining together 16,089 people in a park located in the city of Los Angeles.

This event was organized by a store chain, that gave prizes for over 350 million pesos to the six winners that got to go back home driving a bright new car, there were also prizes of electronic devices, cash and also an apartment.

Jorge Alberto Jaller, a director of the Éxito store has expressed that: “this was our Christmas gift for the Bogotan, that enjoyed with their families an afternoon filled with excitement and fun and ended up with over 25 minutes of pyrotechnic fireworks”.

The proofs of the event are going to be sent now to London in order to be analyzed by the directive board of the Guinness Record and certify what took place.
