Catalunya reduces the bingo rate in two points

The Counsel will lower two points of the fiscal pressure on bingos as a measure to reactivate that game sector. That is what the Executive has said in an internal Economic report that spokesman Juan Antoni Oltra has revealed. The popular party rejected the devolution of the text; therefore it is passing on to the commission now.

The norm changes 19 laws, even though Oltra pointed out specially the surprising fiscal policy. Also, he questioned the reach of the reduction, denounced the decrease planned for bingo and, even more, the justification given by the economic counsel.

The document, after clarifying that the reduction will not make tickets cheaper, reads: “the amount is applied to an increment of the premium”, and adds that it has been taken into consideration “the economic revolution caused by the current situation of the game, this is part of a measure that is bigger and it’s meant to reactivate the sector”.

Oltra questioned that it’s a priority of the Counsel that the bingo companies stay up to 10 million euros to continue making money.
