The Potawatomi Bingo Casino in Menomonee Valley, Milwakee started this week its $240 million expansion. 500,000 square-feet of entertainment space will be added as well as a six-story parking garage. The complex is due to open in 2008.

“This provides a little bit more in terms of revenue in the city and I think this makes this a more desirable place to live,” John Hawkings of Potawatomi Bingo Casino said. He also said that the expansion would include two restaurants, a new lounge, 1,500 new slot machines and 100 gaming tables.

More than five hundred construction workers have been hired for this project and more than one thousand will be hired to work at the casino when the complex is finished.
