During last week had been habilitated a bingo room to smoke inside their rooms, but the decision had a return to the initial idea, so the benefit that had been given to them, was taken away and the ban was re established. During next week, the new measure taken will be extended to the rest of the bingos in the city of Buenos Aires.

In spite of the fact that the decision has been taken for the Bingo Caballito, which was the bingo that initially got the permission to smoke, the city attorney has declared that the measure will be reaching the rest of the bingo rooms in the city.

The lawyer of the bingo Caballito has said: “We have already appealed to the Justice Supreme Court, and until a solid sentence is reached, the bingo will continue to allow smoking. Our arguments are solid since, because of the prohibition to smoke, the collect of the bingo had went down a 50 per cent”.

The deputy Bertol has expressed that: “The resolution that was approved by the Deputy Chamber is a very important step for the Senate to advance in the treatment of the law anti tobacco. About the bingos, I had already anticipated it: it was only a matter of time, because the arguments presented to the Justice didn’t survive any deep and serious analysis”.
